Small seeds with a big love story
When the dream of "dripping in corn jewelry" was told to me 5 years ago, I saw glistening corn gem beads strung together and pendants dangling. The pendants came together fast (2 years) but the beads felt impossible.
Like when the room smelled like popcorn from burning through drill bits.
Figuring out drying, drilling, resining, and stringing these tiny seeds into durable, wearable beads--evenly coated, caps intact for protection and style--without cracking or trapping moisture, is nothing short of a materials engineering feat driven by my obsession with these cobs' and their insane color creativity.
It felt impossible some days — But I always figured one more try might crack it open. And today! WE THERE FAM!!!
I'm thrilled to share the two beaded pieces in my new Rare Cob Collection: Dusted Rose. Check them out, buy one, and you'll be among the first 10 people ever to wear beaded, epoxied corn seeds—living gems made to last.
