Glass Gem Corn Jewelry

Glass Gem corn jewelry made from real heirloom corn we grow ourselves. Every gem in these earrings, necklaces, rings and bracelets is an actual Glass Gem corn seed, not a bead made to look like one.

Glass Gem is a rainbow heirloom corn first saved and bred by Carl Barnes, an Oklahoma farmer of Cherokee descent. We plant it each spring in our California garden, harvest in the fall, and dry the cobs for a full year. Then we choose the most luminous kernels and seal each one so its color lasts.

Because the wind pollinates our corn, no two cobs look alike. Every palette is limited by the harvest, and once it's gone, it's gone. Over 3% of every sale supports Indigenous-led seed projects.
